North Coast Radio recently had the privilege of welcoming Lindokuhle Mdletshe, affectionately known as Godole, to discuss his role in mobilizing taxi drivers for the upcoming elections and his involvement with the Umkhonto Wesizwe Party.

In the interview, Godole shared his personal connection to the taxi industry, revealing that his late father was involved in the business. Inspired by his father’s legacy, he has taken it upon himself to address the issues of violence within the taxi business and advocate for the rights of taxi drivers. Recognizing the significance of the taxi industry, Godole emphasized the importance of taxi drivers participating in the elections and making their voices heard.https://fb.watch/rfK_9XOww0/

While Godole does not hold a specific role within the Umkhonto Wesizwe Party, he has dedicated himself to mobilizing taxi drivers to vote for the party. He believes that the party has the best interests of taxi drivers at heart and will work towards regulating the industry and securing their rights. His mobilization efforts include visiting taxi ranks across various regions, from Esikhaleni to Nkandla, encouraging drivers to vote for Umkhonto Wesizwe Party on May 29th.

Dispelling rumors that the party is only for the Zulu Nation, Godole highlighted the diverse support he has received from taxi drivers of different backgrounds. He stressed that Umkhonto Wesizwe Party is inclusive and addresses the concerns of various groups, including security guards, unemployed graduates, local truck drivers, and domestic workers.

Godole’s advocacy extends beyond taxi drivers, as he serves as a voice for marginalized groups who feel unheard and neglected. He believes that Umkhonto Wesizwe Party offers solutions to their challenges and encourages everyone to join the movement and vote for change.

As Godole continues his journey to mobilize voters and amplify the voices of the marginalized, his dedication and passion serve as a beacon of hope for a better future for all.
